Deal Attack!

Deal Attack!

I don't normally promote general sales, but I came across a pretty good one this evening at GoGamer.com:

Aion with a "6.5" hand painted Asmodian Goddess figurine" for $39.90

A 60-day PlayNC Card for $22.90

So basically, for about $63 + shipping, you'll be playing Aion for three months and staring at your beautiful new statue.

Just got in an account email from NCsoft. It's a reminder that the first month of free play is ending soon and it throws in this little bit o' mystery:

"At the start of your second month in Aion, you'll have access to the first of many Veteran Rewards as a bonus for subscribing to Aion. More information about Veteran Rewards will be available on the official Aion website. "

Well, there is no official information yet, so it sounds like only time will tell. Let us know if you hear more about it before we do.

This might make the Aion grind a bit more bearable; NCsoft has sent out an in-game gift to thank Aion subscribers for their patience during the server queue crisis at launch.

Also, if you are still considering the game, or want a reminder of what it is like to reroll, be sure to check out Voodoo Extreme's "First Impressions" article on the first 10 levels of Aion.

NCsoft has made a "Collector's Edition Upgrade" available to all players since launch. That way, if you ordered the normal edition, you could still reap the benefits that come along with being a Collector.

But the deal couldn't last forever, it will disappear after October 22, 2009 - one month after launch.

So if you've been on the fence, maybe a ticking clock will help make up your mind. Act now.

Via Winter-SM on the VN Forums and Aion's Official Wiki, we just came across this news of an in-game festival that seems legitimate (no official announcement just yet).

Here's the text:

Harvest Revel

During the fall harvest, from time immemorial, the people of Atreia have celebrated the bounty of the land. Years ago, the joy of the annual revels was troubled by an eclipse - a peculiar and magical eclipse that brought darkness to Asmodae and Elysea. Ever since, for days during Harvest Revel, the sky goes dark and the peoples of Atreia join the hunt.

Asmodians find soothing peace during the dark days of the Harvest Revel. They celebrate by racing after the Wild Kurthanir hunt leader during the Wild Hunt and cooking special traditional dishes.

Elyos endure the dark days because during them the dead of Elysea are restless. Undead creatures rise from the grave every few hours, pulled back into a semblance of life by the power of the eclipse. Elyos must join roving Dark Night bands to hunt and destroy the undead before they invade Elyos villages.

Log in each day during Harvest Revel. Celebrate with us and every day rewards your investment with new Aion lore and tasty treats!

Harvest Revel
Begin: October 25, 2009
End: October 31, 2009

May your wings be strong and swift! WeĆ¢€™ll see you in Atreia!

It's funny this showed up today, as I was just pondering what kind of in-game events they may be planning.
